Read all about the world record beating People's Premiere here.

Normal film premieres are glitzy and exclusive, with nobody invited except VIPs - but the People's Premiere is different: VIPs, IPs and plain old Ps are all welcome to the world's first INclusive film launch. Featuring synchronised screenings at a staggering 60 different cinemas across the nation. With a solar-powered cinema tent pitched in London's Leicester Square, the People's Premiere is also the planet's first truly green film premiere - no greenwash allowed.

David Hardman

David Hardman

Dave: I have been working for Christian Aid in the North West as Initiatives Coordinator for nearly two years. Christian Aid is an International Development Agency who work with people of all faiths and none. We work with partner organisations who are based in the poorest communities and who have local knowledge and understanding of what is most needed. Christian Aid is part of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition I travelled to Burkina Faso and Mali in West Africa and saw first hand evidence of this. I met African farmers do not know when rain will come anymore which makes it almost impossible to sustain their families, never mind earn a little more to help them work their way out of poverty. Climate Change has predominantly been caused by the developed world yet it is those in the developing world who are suffering the most – Climate Change is not just an environmental issue it is a justice issue.

John Lamb

John Lamb is a local lad. As a child he used to play and go fishing on the River Darren and River Ribble. John has a B.Sc. in Environmental Biology from Liverpool University and a M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology, Design & Maintenance from Wye College in Kent. He has worked as a countryside ranger on the internationally important sand dune system at Formby and carried out habitat surveys for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust and the Isle of Man government. He was the Conservation Officer for the Manx Wildlife Trust for six years and is now the Senior Conservation Officer for Lancashire with our local Wildlife Trust. John is a full member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) and an auditor for The Wildlife Trust’s Biodiversity Benchmark. As an ecologist he has been noticing our climate changing through the behaviour of plants and animals and the Wildlife Trust has evidence of it starting in Lancashire since at least 1993. John is also a joint-coordinator for Central Lancashire Friends of the Earth, i.e. Preston, Fylde, South Ribble and Chorley, a position he has held for about five years. On behalf of the group he has taken a lead role in developing a Green Charter and Action Plan for Preston Guild 2012 and they hope that 2012 will be the first Green Guild.
