Icelandic Minister for the Environment Svandís Svavarsdóttir, along with British Ambassador to Iceland Ian Whitting, will attend the Iceland movie premiere of The Age of Stupid in Smárabíó, Kópavogur, on September 22 at 8 pm.

According to a press release, The Age of Stupid is described as "This year's most talked-about climate change film" by The Guardian, and was awarded four stars by The Financial Times, The Times and The Telegraph.

Oscar-nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite stars as an old man living in the devastated world of 2055, watching “archive” footage from 2008 and asking: "Why didn’t we stop climate change while we had the chance?"

The Iceland premiere will form part of the movie’s global premiere at 550 cinemas around the world in 45+ countries.

Tickets for the Iceland premiere can be purchased through midi.is at the specially reduced price of ISK 600 (USD 4.8, EUR 3).
