Funding Intro

Crude is a crowd-funded film. Deliberately so, because we want to remain utterly independent. So we can make the film we wanna make and also control the distribution. Plus, if the film makes a shedload of cash, we want it to go to the people who made it, the people who funded it and the people who starred in it. Not the middle men.

Distribution

Our modest aims for the distribution and marketing of The Age of Stupid are below. Granted they sound ridiculously over-ambitious, but click on the links to see how we managed to pull them off for one or other of our earlier docs. Except the last one, obviously.

Current status

Feb 2008: Polishing animation, final music and archive clearances, and post-production at The Farm .

Synopsis

This enormously ambitious drama-documentary-animation hybrid stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as an old man living in the devastated world of 2055, watching "archive" footage from 2007 and asking: why didn't we stop climate change while we had the chance?
