Read all about the world record beating People's Premiere here.

Normal film premieres are glitzy and exclusive, with nobody invited except VIPs - but the People's Premiere is different: VIPs, IPs and plain old Ps are all welcome to the world's first INclusive film launch. Featuring synchronised screenings at a staggering 60 different cinemas across the nation. With a solar-powered cinema tent pitched in London's Leicester Square, the People's Premiere is also the planet's first truly green film premiere - no greenwash allowed.

Margaret Gardner

Margaret Gardner

Margaret Gardner is the Communications Director of Practical Action. She has 18 years development experience and has recently returned from a visit to Sudan where she was able to see the devastating impacts of climate change first hand. Practical Action works together with communities in the Developing World using simple technology to combat poverty. Climate change is hitting the poorest people first - the very people we work with. The world needs to take urgent action now - to mitigate the terrible impacts of climate change and help people adapt to those consequences that can no longer be avoided.

Penney Poyzer

Nottingham based Penney Poyzer is an author, broadcaster and campaigner on a wide range of green issues. She is passionate about getting the great UK public up and active, vocal and positive about pushing forward change for people and planet. She is patron of a number of charities including the Low Carbon Communities Network which is a partner of the AGE OF STUPID team.

She presented BBC 2's series No Waste like Home and is a regular contributor to the media and adviser to a number of organisations and charities. She has been involved in green issues for over 25 years.

She is currently teaching university students about low carbon communities and making a short film about why ordinary people are joining the low carbon communities movement.

Penney said, "taking positive environmental action is no longer an option, not just a point of discussion. This is the most urgent issue we face and I for one am not prepared to wait for it all to crash about my ears. I, like thousands and thousands of others want to be part of the solution. Action is flourishing at the grass roots. The Government is clueless, we need to show them the way and show them what democracy is about - a just and equitable society based on working co-operatively that recognises the planet has rights too."
