Read all about the world record beating People's Premiere here.

Normal film premieres are glitzy and exclusive, with nobody invited except VIPs - but the People's Premiere is different: VIPs, IPs and plain old Ps are all welcome to the world's first INclusive film launch. Featuring synchronised screenings at a staggering 60 different cinemas across the nation. With a solar-powered cinema tent pitched in London's Leicester Square, the People's Premiere is also the planet's first truly green film premiere - no greenwash allowed.

I have always been interested in the environment. I studied biology, traveling all over the world as a field assistant, and doing a PhD, and I have worked for an environmental organisation for the last 8 years.  It was, however, only 3 years ago  that I started seriously looking at my own carbon footprint and was surprised by what I found.  Since then, and with my family, husband Ruedi and children Maya (aged 6) and Naomi (aged 4), we have made an effort to bring down our carbon footprint with efforts that include doing without a car and reducing energy use in our home.  We still have a long way to go but we are enjoying the journey.
