This may be a stupid question 17/7/2014

Hello mailing list

This may be a stupid question, but I don't suppose anyone has a spare £600,000 knocking around?!? We are on a mission, which is going surprisingly well so far, to find 4 x £600K investors for our new true-life spy drama series, UNDERCOVERS (info here) and it suddenly occurred to us that there just might be someone on here who just might have that kind of money.

If you are or you do or someone you know might, please hit "reply" to this email or contact Lizzie on We'd love to tell you all about it.

Or if you'd like to support the project financially in a smaller way later, that would be very much appreciated - we'll be announcing the crowd-funding part of the plan a bit further down the road.

Good news: after a three year slog, the women who unwittingly had relationships with the police spies (i.e. the subjects of said drama series) just won a significant victory in their ongoing legal battle. The Judge ruled that the police can no longer use their "Neither Confirm Nor Deny" policy/excuse for not responding properly to the women's case. So hopefully now things can start moving.

In other news, my fella's new documentary, "The White Widow - Searching for Samantha", about the wife of one of the 7/7 London Underground suicide bombers, got 2.1 million viewers at 10.35pm on BBC1 the other day. He's very happy, I'm very proud. It's watchable internationally here.

Last but not least: are there any professional bookkeepers out there (or filmmakers who've done their own accounts and need to earn a few quid) who'd like a two-day-a-month job?

See you later, enjoy the heatwave (eek)
