Tickets on sale now: how you can help

Today and today only we're going to send two emails to the list.  Sorry for the overload, but I hope you'll agree it's a special occasion. 

This one explains how you can help and the following is for forwarding to everyone you've ever met. 

Oli the genius cinema-booker has confirmed that The People's Premiere will be in Aberdeen, Bath, Birmingham, Blackburn, Braehead, Bristol, Bury, Cambridge, Cardiff, Carlisle, Cheshire,Clones, Cornwall (Eden Project), Croydon, Edinburgh, Enniskillen, Exeter, Glasgow, Guilford, Harrow, Hartlepool, Hatfield, Hull, Inverness, Kingston, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, Livingston, London (8 locations), Maidenhead, Manchester, Milford Haven, Naul, Newcastle, Newcastle West, Norwich, Oxford, Plymouth, Portlaoise, Portsmouth, Preston, Reading, Romford, Scunthorpe, Southport, Staines, Swindon, Tinahely, Tunbridge Wells, Watford, Wigan and York.

Thanks to Rop, Doro and Betty's financial contributions we have now entered the Guinness Book of Records not once but twice: most eco film premiere and biggest-ever film premiere. How on earth did a simple idea to make a low-budget doc about climate change escalate into the biggest film launch of all time!?!?

There are 228 investors and 108 crew: if each of us buys ten tickets we will almost definitely have sold enough seats to expand into week two without a single member of the public buying a single ticket. ("Almost definitely" because it also depends on how many seats the other films released the same week sell). So, even if you can't round up ten actual people, please buy ten seats anyway. Many (but not all) of the cinemas will give the 10th ticket free, so you should get away without paying yourself - and even if you have no friends at all, it's only a 90 or 100 quid further investment and, you never know, tickets may become extremely valuable on Ebay the day before the premiere.... NB. Ticket sales to the premiere count towards our opening weekend box office figures. 

1. Forward the e-flyer and/or press release in the following email to everyone you know

2. Look at the list of participating cinemas http://www.ageofstupid.net/premiere. Click on a cinema (eg Cambridge Vue), then click on "Invite Friends" to send an email to your mum/ex-wife/longlost schools friends in Cambridge. Then repeat x 69 for all the other venues.

3. Download the free poster (http://www.ageofstupid.net/ngo_resources) and stick up in your school/office/window or buy the massive movie-size poster (http://www.ageofstupid.net/shop) and do the same.

4. Add the premiere you are going to as an event in Facebook and invite all your friends to join you

5. Add the widget to your website/blog: http://www.ageofstupid.net/widget

6. Announce the premiere at campaign meetings/school assemblies/business shindings
