Screenings in Zimbabwe

22nd November. This page is under construction, sorry for all the mess. The screening information is correct.

Zimbabwe, along with the rest of Africa, is one of the countries likely to suffer the effects of climate change the most. It's perhaps no surprise then that support for the film at the global launch on September 22, 2009, was so great.

Nigel Hulett was the man behind the screening in Zimbabwe. The screening was supported by the British Council and attended by the Minister of the Environment, who launched the screening; the Mayor of Harare and representatives of many NGOs and schools.Congratulations to all involved.

300 people attended the event and proceeds from ticket sales bought 300 tree seedlings which will go towards the Harare Greening Project. Audience pledges after the event committed another 150 trees to the project!

Video interviews conducted after the screening revealed that more people need to see the film. We have requests from all over the country – especially from people in low-income high-density suburbs. It would be great if we could screen it on national television but they have no money...can we make a plan?

We will be interviewed on 2 radio talk shows within the next couple of days...

I feel exhausted and need to go to bed but my head is buzzing like a bumblebee.

All good things to you guys...

Nigel Hulett
