Screenings in Venezuela

22nd November. This page is under construction, sorry for all the mess. The screening information is correct.

Two great screenings of the film in Caracas on Global Lanch Day (22nd September 2009) organised by Adriana Salazar of the British Embassy. Real enthusiasm in Venezuela for more screenings.

Ben,

We had over 140 people although we didn't capture them all on camera since some arrived late due due to Caracas' hectic traffic. The guy giving the speech is our charge d'affaires, Ned Holborn. We had a little toast at the end and gave out organic cotton bags that we created for a previous campaign. The audience loved the film and they're demanding more screenings, so we're gonna work on that. We had a representative from the Food Ministry and she proposed to show the film to the Ministry and the communities they work with, so that'd be great. Will keep you posted on developments.

Apparently the event in Valencia went really well also - according to our Honorary Consul around 150ppl. But the TV channel we liaised with was in charge of pictures and media coverage there so I'll be chasing them for that. The Governor of Carabobo state (Valencia is the capital city of that state) wants to see the movie with his whole Cabinet. So more good news. And there will be an industrial event in a month with one day dedicated to environment/climate change and they're interested to show the movie and perhaps have our climate change officer to give a few words.

Kind Regards,

Adriana
