Shahrzad Amoli

Translator (Farsi)
London, England and Tehran, Iran
Day job:
Dream job:
Environmental spokesperson for whoever has something to say
The Age of Stupid
Time on the job:
Just over a month (and that includes nights!)
Jet, jeep, bus or bike:
Feet and yet to get on a bike again since I was in my teens (really want to)
Original connection:
Accidentally came across it on the web
Why did you get involved?:
How could I not? Got sentimental seeing most languages there, not Farsi. Need to pass on message as wide as possible.
Memorable moment:
When I finally found a computer with Farsi typesetting and when I realised I can actually type in Farsi
Scared of:
My generation not doing anything about climate change
Guilty of:
Still using plastic garbage bags and I hate that
Planning to spend profits on:
What profits? Oh you mean ethical profits?
Will we save ourselves now we have the chance?:
Nothing is impossible. At least we can get ourselves on right track and hand over legacy to next generation.

Born in Manchester, grew up in UK and Iran, worked in Iran until 2007. Living, working and studying in London for now, hoping to contribute to getting people to recycle more in Tehran in near future.
