How Can I Help?

Thanks for caring. There are three important ways you may be able to help the film now - and one more important way you can help with the bigger problem of how to stop runaway climate change from ending life as we know it.

1) Get more people to see Stupid

Details for all venues and upcoming screenings here.

Taking ten friends along to one of these screenings is one of the easiest and most helpful things you can do.

Details of clever, easy ways to help publicise Stupid here.

If there's nobody showing the film near you anywhere, then you can organise an independent screening any time from 22nd May onwards. We have arranged a unique distribution deal that allows us to sell screening licenses on a sliding scale, meaning anyone in the UK can arrange a screening for an appropriate fee - peanuts for village halls, rather more for chief executives board meetings, etc.

Details of how to organise your own screening of Stupid are here.

2) Buy our stuff

Obviously random pointless merchandise is a part of the matrix of problems with our society that Stupid explores. Which is why we had to think long and hard about what kind of stuff we could flog that could conceivably be OK in the context of the climate crisis. The Not Stupid shop only sells things that we're pretty certain will actively help to reduce the emissions and consumption of the people who buy them. It's extremely difficult to make independent films without taking the corporate dollar. By buying this stuff you're helping us not sell out.

As well as refillable water bottles and compost bins etc, you can also pre-order the DVD of Stupid, which is an enormously helpful thing to do, and will be shipping in the UK from July onwards.

3) Become Not Stupid

Not Stupid is the social action campaign that accompanies The Age of Stupid. The aim is to turn 250 million viewers into climate activists - a tall order but given the scale of the challenge, this seems about right to give us a decent chance of preventing runaway climate change. We're going to need a lot of help though! Anything you can spare - money, time, resources etc. - is very welcome.
